Choir

The Chancel Choir at Grace Anglican Church is dedicated to the glory of God, and endeavors to inspire worship and true devotion to the Lord Jesus. The gift of music was given to us by God, and the church has honed this gift over the centuries, so that we can offer it back to Him as a sacrifice of praise.

Grounded in tradition and striving to bring the very best to the worship of Almighty God, our choir is a dedicated group of volunteers and professional musicians who share a passion for Jesus and a commitment to musical excellence. The Anglican church is blessed to inherit the rich tradition of Catholic music, to which it has added many distinctly English features. Our choir sings Gregorian chant, Anglican psalmody, and a wide range of anthems and hymns from across the centuries.

Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is a traditional ministry of Anglican parishes. It consists of women and men who set up the altar for Eucharistic services and clean up and put away after them. We also care for the vestments and other items used for worship — washing and ironing linens, polishing brass, filling the font when needed, ordering supplies, etc. Much of our work is in the sacristy, where vestments and other items are kept. Flower arranging is a specialty of some members of the Guild. The overall aim of the Guild is to assist the clergy in making certain that the church’s worship is conducted “in the beauty of holiness.”

Members work on a rotation, and are always looking for more volunteers. Please let Tina Ridgeway, the Altar Guild Directress, know if you are interested.

Participants in this ministry must be Confirmed.

Parish Hall Fellowship

Every Sunday following the 10:30 a.m. Eucharist, the fellowship ministry team serves refreshments in the Parish Hall. When a month has a fifth Sunday, they provide a full meal. Visitors are always welcome.

Women's Ministry

Growing in Grace Women’s Ministry is a Tuesday morning Bible study that meets for two eight-week semesters, one in the spring and one in the fall.

This ministry seeks to strengthen the women of our parish in both mind and spirit—to help us grow in the likeness and knowledge of our Lord Jesus and experience deeper unity in the Body of Christ. At each class, we study God’s word, enter His presence, encourage each other through prayer and small group sharing, and enjoy one another as fellow believers and friends.

Growing in Grace also includes two brunch gatherings each year with guest speakers who provide further opportunities for spiritual formation.

The women of Grace Anglican and their friends are welcome to participate.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Our prayer shawl ministry provides an opportunity for women to make shawls for members of the congregation facing surgery, serious illness, or trauma of any kind.

Those already skilled in knitting or crocheting not only make the shawls but also teach others interested in learning these arts.

Meetings are every Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the parish hall.

Contact Joyce Hickey at 208-867-2330 (text or phone).

Men's Breakfast

The Men’s Breakfast, which meets on Wednesdays at 7:30 a.m., is a long-running feature of Grace Anglican. Now at the IHOP on W. Emerald St. in Boise, the weekly breakfast is mainly for fellowship. It usually includes a discussion of the Gospel or another Scripture to be read on the following Sunday.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School takes place the last full week in June. It is for children ages 6 to 11 and includes the participation of other Anglican churches in the area. The curriculum changes from year to year but always combines lessons from the Bible, crafts, games, and worship with music for young people.

We also welcome help from parents to ensure that there is ample supervision. Older youth may also be helpers after receiving some training.

Family Camp

The Family Camp, begun in 2025, takes place in the second full week of June at Camp Perkins on Perkins Lake in the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains of central Idaho. It is attended by clergy, laity, and friends of the congregations that make up the southern half of the Yellowstone Missionary District. The curriculum is a mixture of worship, instruction, recreation, and meals, and is oriented to families with school-aged youth. Younger children and single adults are also welcome.

The cost for lodging, meals, archery, crafts, and the use of canoes, kayaks, and other recreational equipment is $350 per adult. Additional fun activities include music, skits, youth poetry recitation, and other creative events that we may include to enrich the experience. Scholarships will be available in 2026 for youth 18 and under, as they were in 2025.
